Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) stated this week that they have scored among the top companies in the United States—not just in the car business, but overall—in providing a positive, transparent, and insightful experience for career seekers.

The automaker’s performance as a prospective employer was good enough this year to earn them a 2018 North American Candidate Experience Award (CandE Award), in a competition organized each year by Talent Board, a nonprofit that conducts research on the quality of the job candidate experience.

This year’s set of CandE Award winners spans a full range of industries, from aerospace to healthcare to environmental services. FCA was one of 65 employers recognized with the award this year. But now FCA has the distinction of being the only automaker to become a three-time winner, having also received Candidate Experience Awards in 2016 and 2017.

Other CandE Award winners from the automotive industry this year were Lithia Motors Inc. and Panasonic Automotive.

“FCA US understands that providing a high quality experience for job candidates is a key component of a world-class talent acquisition program,” said Stefanie Thornton, Head of Talent Acquisition, FCA US LLC. “Our consistent high performance reflects our passion and commitment to make our recruiting and onboarding processes among the best in the world.”

According to Talent Board, the 65 winners in 2018 were selected from over 200 companies that registered to participate. Winners emerged through a blind analysis of data collected in a survey of job candidates. Key scoring criteria included ratings that assessed whether candidates were “likely to apply again” and “likely to refer a friend,” as well as overall ratings of their experience as job candidates.

To qualify for the program, each participating company had to commit to provide a statistically significant number of candidate responses. Also, the proportion of respondents not hired had to exceed a set minimum. According to Talent Board, these criteria exceed the standards of other research efforts into job candidate experience.

As of today, there are “970 live results” posted on the FCA careers website for job openings worldwide with the automaker. The FCA careers website organizes openings into a set of categories that includes corporate staff, engineering & design, finance & accounting, information technology, manufacturing & production, quality, purchasing & supply chain management, quality, sales & marketing, and service & parts warehouse, as well as career experience opportunities for students.

With all those available jobs and some new candidate experience swag to show off, a career with FCA is starting to sound pretty darned good.

Maybe I’ll even apply for something.
